The movie was released 1 July 1983 and recorded in Alabama. The cast a pretty good, the main actor is Burt Reynolds as Stroker Ace. Other actors that play in the movie are Ned Beatty, Jim Nabors and Loni Anderson. The movie was however not a big hit and Jim Nabors won the price for Worst Supporting Actor while Loni Anderson was nominated for worst actress and worst new star. Overall the movie got 4 negative nominations.
The movies story is about Stroker Ace and he is doing extremely well in his NASCAR career, but then he got tired of people telling him what to do like for example dress up in a chicken suit. There are many funny scenes and worth a look if you are a Burt Reynold fan
The screenplay is bad and the story is not good however Stroker Ace can still be a funny movie if you like Burt Reynolds sense of humor but its far from a box office movie. This film was based on William Neely’s Novel and they actually do an okay job by brining the novel to life with Burt Reynolds as the main star.
