Earlier this week, we launched DellDirekte (www.delldirekte.no), our corporate blog in Norwegian. This
is the fourth language for the Dell corporate blogs, following Direct2Dell in
English, Chinese and Spanish.

Corporate blogs are not common in Norway. In
fact, we believe we are one of the first large companies to launch our own blog.

We are looking forward to following the
success of the other Dell blogs, and the other means of communication such as IdeaStorm and Dell Forums. In Dell Norway, we
sincerely believe a corporate blog is an excellent way to strengthen the
dialogue between ourselves and our stakeholders, first and foremost our
customers.

DellDirekte is obviously designed for
customers who prefer to communicate with Dell in Norwegian, although Danes and
Swedes will also most likely be able to understand the content. The blog will
focus on Dell’s operations in Norway, but will also feature translated content
from the English version of Direct2Dell that is worldwide in nature.

We look forward to hearing from all
stakeholders in Norway, and invite everyone familiar with the Norwegian
language to share comments, content ideas and feedback with the DellDirekte
team.

MSN Money has a fascinating report on the reaction to Apple’s unveiling of the iPhone at January’s Macworld. If any event could be said to trigger a groundswell of grassroots reporting, it was the iPhone. In fact, the iPhone certainly set new records in that regard with a huge response of rich media–podcasts, photos, videos, hands-on reports and more.

According to the MSN article, the iPhone was mentioned by more blogs for the next 10 days than either McDonald’s or George W. Bush. Wikipedia had an iPhone entry within minutes of Jobs’ keynote speech. Nifty article, well worth a read.

It goes without question that Steve Jobs can teach a few things to anyone who needs help with their presentation skills. Watching his on-stage performance can offer a wealth of ideas and tips for the keynote-impaired, but now, so can viewing his notes. AtariST, aka a co-founder of Spymac.com, has posted two images he managed to snap of Steve’s on-stage notes, offering a glimpse into why the big J is able to delivery so much shock and awe during his keynotes.

How that book is produced is anyone’s guess, though one commenter at Spymac mentioned it could be the work of iPhoto. Has anyone else seen something like this made from iPhoto’s book printing service?

Basically, if no purchase is involved, you will receive an e-mail notification when your order is processed. If you are purchasing something, Dell will be contacting you directly to process work out payment details to process your order.

In all cases, please allow up to 10 business days (two weeks) for us to process your order and get back to you.

No purchase: you will receive e-mail order confirmations when your order is processed.

If you want to touch-and-feel some Dell hardware, you’ll have plenty of opportunities. Starting in the registration area, you’ll use Dell Latitude D620 notebooks when you pick up your badges. Then on the exhibition floor, drop by the Dell booth showcasing Power and Cooling, see our story around Simplifying IT, and register for our daily giveaway of an Inspiron 1420N notebook.

The impression of Steve Jobs, as portrayed by Michael McDonald (not of Doobie Brothers fame), is not really very good, but I think the overall sentiment behind the skit is on the mark.

Is Steve Jobs an iWitch? You be the judge.

heres a dang good fix for some of you. I have a p4 server that was running with 100% of cpu loaded and i was getting the dreaded “cpu running above threshold limit ” in terminal window. well if you dont use SELINUX on your machine you in luck, and if you do use it just disable it under security settings first before you do this. If you look at the system monitor click the resources tab you will see your cpu running 99-100% causing alot of heat to build on the cpu. now click the tab labeled processes in the system monitor and look for a process called ” SEALERT ” you will see this proccess using like 95% of your resources, now right click on it and click stop. now click on your resource tab again and see if your cpu usage fell down ALOT , mine went from 99-100% down to 6-7% if this works heres the permant fix for this .

yum remove setroubleshoot

it will ask you yes/no to remove just put y for yes and reboot afterwards and you can check system monitor after the reboot and your usage should be normal and in the proccess tab the word sealert should be gone. Im sure this same fix will work on fedora and redhat as well since they so closely related

At long last, my Macworld interview with Guy Kawasaki, for which you told us what to ask, is ready to go. Sitting down in the same room with The Guy[TM] during the week of Macworld 07 was quite the experience, and we had a good time chatting about the iPhone, where Apple is going as a company and more.

There’s a catch with this podcast, however. Since many TUAW readers have expressed their interest in shorter podcasts, I chopped our interview down to just over 16 minutes. This means I have roughly an hour or so of chatting with Guy which I think is still interesting stuff. So, we decided to put a vote to you readers: after listening to what I put together here, do you want to hear the rest of the interview with Guy? We kept on chatting about the rest of the industry, why no one’s buying software, evangelism and its place in business today… the guy really knows his stuff. If you’re interested, leave a comment to let us know, and I’ll publish a part 2.

But for now, enjoy TUAW Podcast #19 which weighs in at just over 15MB and 16 minutes. You can snag it from this direct link, our iTunes Store Podcast directory or our own podcast RSS feed. Enjoy.
